Thirteen Reasons Why

I recommend that teens mostly should read this book if you or a friend are struggling with depression,suicide, or any kind of mental disease. 

The story starts of by a boy named "Clay Jensen". This boy came home from school and saw a mysterious box on his front porch with his name on it. Inside the box he see's that there are tapes in there and at first has no clue what it was, Clay thought that it was a joke at first but, actually wasn't. What could it be? The tapes were from Hannah Baker. Clay Jensen's crush/classmate. Who committed suicide two weeks earlier. On the tapes it explains why she had killed herself and that thirteen people were part of the scene. If Clay listens to the tapes he will find out why she did kill herself. Clay had opened the box and saw the tapes, in the box there was a map and the thirteen tapes in there. Clay was really confused at the moment but thought about it and convinced himself that  he should listen to them. Clay slowly plays the first tape on his dad's old music players which people used late in the days. Clay listens to the tape while he listens to Hannah's voice. He wanted to tear up because of how much he missed her. Hannah starts of by explaining who she is, where she was born, and all the basics. Right when Clay was listening to the tape his mother came in and was taking time away from him so that he wouldn't listen.

Then the next day Clay went to school really paranoid because he thought that some of the kids were pulling a prank on him and that once he walked in the school to his locker people were going to laugh at him. But nobody did. Nobody knew what was going on but him and some other thirteen people that have received the box. Clay walked in the school and was looking at other kids too see if they knew what was going on and why nobody was talking about it. Clay was new to the school so one of the teachers had introduced him to a group of kids at lunch so they wouldn't sit alone or feel alone when they entered a new school. Clay met a girl and actually got along with her. He thought that it would've been awkward between them but wasn't. Clay had gone home that day and started to listen to the second tape. In that tape Hannah says more about herself and says a few names  about the people that she knows that received this box. First it starts off with her first boyfriend and first kiss in high school. His same was Alex Taylor. Hannah starts to explain how magical it was and how much butterflies she used to get. Second starts off by how she had the best area part of her body, Most of the jocks wanted to hook up with her just because of that. Last but not  least she explains Clay's name and says that his same is in the ending like on tape thirteenth.

Last Clay gets to the part when Hannah Baker mentions his name. Clay also found some people that have finished the tapes and were speechless because of all the reasons she committed suicide. When Clay heard what Hannah had to say about him he was also speechless. Clay did not notice so many things about Hannah that was going on in her life and in high school.
