The book Dead Girls Don't Write Letters by Gail Giles is about A girl named Sunny and her family and they just lost your sister/daughter named Jazz. I recommend it to people who like mystery books.

The story begins when Sunny receives a letter saying it's from her sister, Jazz. Jazz died in a drastic fire, Sunny was told. Her mother got into depression and her father became a drunk. Sunny felt like she shouldn't tell her parents she got the letter, but eventually she does. Her parents got excited and started to clean themselves and the house up. The letter told them that Jazz was going to be arriving soon. Once Jazz arrived Sunny and her father knew at that second, that wasn't the real Jazz. Her mother was too happy to believe it wasn't her. Sunny and her father decided to play along, just for a while. Sunny called the girl being Jazz, not-Jazz. Later on, Sunny found a journal in Jazz's room and believed it's not-Jazz's. Sunny read the journal and found out the truth. That girl wasn't Jazz. Jazz didn't die in a fire, she was murdered, and then the fire happened. Sunny told her dad and they confronted not-Jazz. Not-Jazz's name was Debra. Sunny's dad was going to call the police, but Sunny and her mom decided to let her go. That summer, Sunny and her family had to go to therapy. In the end, everything was going fine until Sunny receive a letter from Sunny.

I liked the book for two reason. First, it was one of those books where, once you start reading, you can't put the book down. Second, the plot, I thought, was amazing. It made me feel like I was part of the book.

This book is similar to The Ghost and Culter Creek I believe that's the title, but I'm not sure. It is written by Sharoon Creech.
