After Tupac and D Foster addresses the idea of "institutionalized racism".  But what exactly is it?  And how do we know it exists?

Institutionalized Racism-- ""the collective failure of an organization to provide an appropriate and professional service to people because of their colour, culture or ethnic origin."

Task:  Look up one of the following topics and find the data.  Find the information will be tricky.  You will want to use key terms like "demographics of poverty" or "incarcertation rates by race" etc.  However, be sure that your data is reliable / credible, meaning that it is current, and from a dependable source.

• high school drop out rates (Jacob and Vicent)
• percentage living below the poverty line 
• average income (Max)
• college degrees (William)
• test scores (Bree)
• incarceration rates (Tyler)
• length of sentences (Kevin and Greshonda)
